Unsolved
Unsolved is for learning what the world's unsolved problems are, thinking them through, and working out how to solve them. Knowing a problem precisely is where that starts — so before putting forward an answer, it makes clear what is known and what is still missing.
It gathers problems raised by public bodies and communities, and sets each one down in the same shape — what the problem is, how many people it affects, what has been tried and what came of it, and what is still missing. Every claim carries a source you can follow back.
It runs in Korean and English. A document is written in the language of the country where the problem is defined.
Reading needs no account
Every problem record is fully readable without signing in, as are search and the country, document language, cause, and sort filters.
Signing in is only for taking part
Up and down votes and comments require signing in with a Google account. This keeps one person from voting repeatedly on the same problem, and lets you delete a comment you wrote.
We receive one identifier from Google, and nothing else
The only scope requested is openid. No name, no email address, no profile picture — not discarded afterwards, but never requested. The identifier we do receive is not stored as-is; it is put through a one-way transformation, and all it can do inside this service is find the votes and comments you left.
A nickname and picture exist only if you set them yourself. Without them, entries show a six-character mark that differs from problem to problem.
